In 1955 Rein returned to Europe and raised two daughters in Surrey. She was widowed in 1970.

In the early and mid 70’s Rein travelled in the Americas and the Far East visiting, among other places, Canada, Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia.

In 1978 Rein moved to Portland, Dorset, where she still lives and paints.

Rein exhibits in London, Surrey and around Dorset. She has always been strongly influenced by the Cobra Group, the Impressionists and by painters such as Jackson Pollock, De Stael and Hector Poleo (from Venezuela). (continue)
