Rein Fulleylove was born in Java, Indonesia, of Dutch parents. Her family returned to The Netherlands just before World War II and the Nazi occupation of that country. Rein was educated in Haarlem and Amsterdam.

Rein’s home in Burma

After the war Rein visited England and spent some time at Guildford Art School. Whilst in England she married an English sea captain and moved with him to Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) and then to India. During this time she visited several countries in the Far East and the many and varied cultures inspired her early painting. (continue)
